Where Our Story Begins....
Founded in 1984 by Steven & Sheryl Archote, Hollow Earth Swordworks began with a spark of imagination.
As a teenager, Steven was captivated by the stories he read, ranging from the fantastical worlds of Tolkien to swashbuckling adventures and science fiction epics. With imagination as his guide, he began crafting wooden swords sturdy enough endure the epic battles he and his friends were waging.
As the years passed, the swords were set aside... but the story was not finished.
Play Becomes Tradition.....
Years later, Steven's passion was rekindled alongside his wife, Sheryl as they began crafting swords for their children, forging a family tradition.
Armed with a background in fine arts, Steven pursued a vision: to create practice swords that were not only durable, but beautifully crafted, each one designed to delight its wielder with unique lines and character.

And so a New Chapter Begins
Those children, raised on the very same tales of adventure, grew not only to love the stories-but to live them. And as they grew older, they began to learn the craft and helped shape its future.

Together, the family began to grow the business in earnest-adding more faires, traveling farther from home, and setting out on long, all night journeys across the country to bring their wares to new crowds and kindred spirits. What had once been a small family endeavor was now becoming something greater, carried forward by shared passion and hard work.
Years Passed and the Family Grew...
Now, three generations of family artisans joined by a fellowship of treasured crew members, carry on the craft shaping each wooden sword with care, pride, and purpose.
And as we work side by side, we remain ever grateful for the miles behind us, the road ahead, and for you, whose support allows us to continue doing what we love.

And now...
the story passes to you...
