⚔️ THE WOODS

Hickory:

Through many years of testing, we have found hickory to be the superior American hardwood for making our bow blades. Its strength and lively flex give bolts the power to soar true across the battlefield.

Janka Scale Rating: 1820 LBF

American Cherry:

Cherry carries a warm reddish-brown tone with wood with a similar darker-toned grain pattern. As the years pass, it darkens gracefully into a rich weathered finish with deep rust undertones — a wood that grows more beautiful with every campaign.

Janka Scale Rating: 950 LBF

American Black Walnut:

Walnut varies in rich heartwood hues ranging in tones from warm gray-brown to deep chocolate brown, often carrying subtle reddish or purplish undertones that give the wood natural depth and character. In contrast, the sapwood is lighter, appearing in soft cream to golden-gray shades. The grain is typically straight and smooth, contributing to Walnut’s clean, refined look and its reputation as a timeless, elegant hardwood.

Janka Scale Rating: 1080 LBF
