The Ivar Hatchet draws inspiration from the axes widely used by Viking warriors throughout the Northlands. While swords were prized possessions, axes were often more readily available thanks to their everyday use around Viking homesteads. Many Norsemen already owned an axe for chopping wood, building structures, and performing daily chores, making it a practical tool that could also serve them on the battlefield.

This Ivar is built from American Hickory, a superior hardwood with nice light grain pattern ranging to heartwood which has a darker grain pattern.
