Zwiehander
A two handed sword historically used by the Landsknechts of Germany!
The Zwiehander was developed as a response to the pikeman infantry of the Swiss. having a hand in protecting the flanks of fellow German infantry warriors. Essentially a combination of sword and pole arm, its design aided in the cleaver impenetrable square infantry tactics of the Landsknechts.
Our design features a two handed grip and the traditional double lugs that were used for paring and protection against attacking blades.
