According to legend William Wallace fought for freedom with the same style great sword. The Chieftain claymore is our take on the Scottish quatrefoil quillon design featured in many historical Scottish great swords of the 13-17th centuries.
Our Chieftain Claymore features a downward sloping quilion, two handed grip and massive blade that requires the dexterity of the most skillful of practitioners. Over decades of development we choose to simplify the quatrefoil quillion, with more figurative terminations, which help to maintain the woods integrity during practice sessions.
